Visit Australia

A visitor visa allows you to visit Australia temporarily for a specific purpose. Visitors must be able to demonstrate that they will depart the country before the expiry of the currency of the visa and must not work while in Australia. Applicants must have enough financial means to cover the expenses of their stay in Australia.

This visa stream lets you visit Australia as a tourist, to go on a cruise or to see family and friends. The visa could be a single or multiple entry visa and the duration granted could vary between 3, 6 or 9 months. Parents of eligible Australian citizens may however, be granted visas for a longer duration on a case by case assessment basis.

There is also a sponsored family stream category that lets people who are sponsored, usually by a family member, come to Australia to visit their family members. In some instances, the sponsor may require to furnish a bond or security to support the applicant for a temporary stay. The applicant may be granted a visa for upto 12 months under the family stream.
