New Zealand allows students to avail Post Study Work Visa options for up to 3 years after finishing your studies, if they have an acceptable qualification. A Post-study work visa lets the applicant work for any employer and in almost any job. The student’s partner can also apply for a work visa and dependent children can study fee-free as domestic students. A Post-study work visa lasts for 1, 2 or 3 years depending on the level of qualification and where the applicant studied. From the end of November 2018, the Post Study Work Visa replaces 2 previous visas, namely the Post Study Work Visa (open) and the Post Study Work Visa (employer-assisted).
